Following the Branch Meeting on 19th January at the Cock, Broom we are pleased to announce the following awards for 2026:

Branch Pub of the Year - Sir William Peel, Sandy;

Community Pub of the Year - Plough, Langford;

Rural Pub of the Year - Cock, Broom;

Most Improved Pub of the Year - Queens Head, Sandy.

At the same meeting another eight pubs were selected for consideration for the 2027 Good Beer Guide (GBG) but, although the Branch is only allowed ten entries in the GBG, two reserves were also selected in case there are any insoluble difficulties encountered at those chosem for the GBG. The identity of the 'other eight is kept in strictest confidence until the publication of the GBG in September 2026

Our congratulations go to the POTY winners and there will be further information to follow regarding the dates of the presentations to each of the pubs.
